Each region, city, country, town has its own special or traditional foods. These foods are usually inherited from the ancestor. Because local foods are made from fruits and vegetables grown in that region, generally. Foods remain stable if people living in that area don’t migrate or travel to other areas. For instances dolma. Dolma foods are cooking in various variations in various countries or regions such as Turkey, Armenia, Greece, Arabic… Although the taste varies from person to person, Turks make or cook the best food of Dolma. Let’s examine the Turkish cuisine with. What is the best Turkish foods?

What is Turkey’s most popular food?

Officially known as the Republic of Turkey, governed by the republican regime and founded by Atatürk and her comrades in arm. Turkey is located in Mesopotamia and Anatolia which hosted many civilizations. Also located north of Arabia, south of Russia and east of Greece. Since it is located in such a multicultural place, its cuisine is very rich.

1- Turkish Ravioli

Turkish Ravioli is one of the most valuable and delicious foods of Turkish Cuisine. It made with meat in filo pastry and can be eaten both juicy ravioli and dry ravioli. But generally it is served with yoghurt, butter and sauce.

2- Stuffed Vine-Leaves

There are 2 main ingredients in this food. First are the leaves, second is filling ingredient. For leaves; cabbage, cherry leaf, mulberry leaf and grape leaf can be used. For filling ingredient; rice or ground mead can be used. Firstly leaves are opened completely. Then sprinkle of filling ingredient is placed in the middle of the leaf. Finally leaf is wrapped.

3- Turkish Kebab (Kebab Turkey)

Actually the word of kebab is a very comprehensive name. kebab cover; Adana Kebab, Urfa Kebab, Burdur Kebab, Denizli Kebab… Kebab is loved by most people who love meat. It is made almost entirely from red meat in a bakery or liked places. Generally, it is served with yoghurt, peppers, tomatoes and a small amount of rice.

4- Turkish Baklava

Some nations try to make baklava. But the place of Turkish baklava according to people’s taste is separating from other. There are many types of Turkish Baklavas. But especially baklava with pistachio is very delicious and generally made of in Gaziantep which is city of Turkey.

5- Sahlep

Sahlep is an endemic species that grows in mountainous and meadow areas. In Turkey Especially in Bucak which is big town of Turkey is very popular. Generally people prefer drinking in snowy days. So cold days. After purchasing it in powder form, you can mix with milk and stir on the stove. About half an hour later, you can drink hot sahlep with cinnamon in our nice and warm home.

Definitely, traditional Turkish foods is not so. But if I had written all traditional foods, I would have taken too much of your time.
